DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (CAREGIVER) FOR INTELLECTUAL/DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY POPULATION

Pay and Benefits Breakdown:
Traditional Homes:
- $13.50/hour for any hours worked Monday through Friday
- $20.50/hour for any hours worked Saturday and Sunday
- Daily/Weekly paydays
- Full time staff are eligible for health/medical/401k benefits after 60 days
High Acuity/Behavioral Homes:
- $15.00/hour for any hours worked Monday through Friday
- $22.50/hour for any hours worked Saturday and Sunday
- Daily/Weekly paydays
- Full time staff are eligible for health/medical/401k benefits after 60 days
Shift Explanation:
- 12-hour shifts
- Premium pay on Weekends and Holidays
- Floating Holiday PTO bank
- One weekend day availability
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Proof of GED/HS Diploma/Advanced degree required
- Passion to work with DD population
- Valid drivers license preferred
Job Duties:
- Assist our supported individuals with their day to day adventures.
- Light housekeeping such as vacuuming, doing the dishes, and laundry.
- Plan and implement daily living activities.
- Provide basic/moderate care/support, depending on individuals needs.
- Prepare meals and plan a healthy meal plan with the Individuals.
- Use a computer to notate and chart behaviors and incidents.
- Assist with the distribution of medication.
Physical Demands:
- Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, using proper lifting techniques.
- Perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for accessing spaces and performing ground-level activities.
- Walk, stand, and engage in continuous physical activities during cleaning, maintenance, and outdoor tasks.
